The Tensegrity Series was designed by Gioia Irwin of Squamish BC to strengthen, tone, and lubricate the connective tissues to bring more mobility and flexibility to the body as a whole. This integrates the myofascial web in relation to bones and joints and encourages higher functionality and awareness in yoga asana practice.
This is a meditative, mindful practice with focus on the breath, energy flow, eye gaze, and vertical and horizontal alignments. Wooden dowels and a wooden sacral block are used for some sequences (provided).
May 19 - Introduction - we go through the entire Tensegrity Series; the slow pace is suitable for all levels.
