Community Connections – Outdoor Yoga Brings Us Together!

This past Saturday Live Yoga and Natures Fare Market hosted a wonderful outdoor yoga class right at White Rock Beach at the oceanfront Bayview Park.  It was an amazing free outdoor yoga class in which 75 students came to move, stretch, and breathe together.

One thing that was immediately clear is that coming together in nature by the ocean for yoga was such a bonding experience.  Everyone in attendance enjoyed the shared experience of yoga with a beautiful view of the gulf islands and MT. Baker views so renowned in White Rock, British Columbia.

The other great thing was seeing so many students young and old, friends, family, kids, and even a few babies all show up to share the moment and be together.  It really was amazing.  Some students were from the Live Yoga or broader White Rock yoga community and some just came as they saw a flyer at their local coffee shop. Many great conversations where shared and of course new friendships made.

As we finished our class we all acknowledged each other and our connection to our own inner awareness for a shared sense of unity, and true sense of community.  It was great to see folks offer warm and welcoming smiles after the class finished and all would agree we were far from separate, we were one!

This is Yoga.  Finding our center while feeling unity, peace and calm, and most importantly feeling the connectivity we have between every other individual.  Being together and enjoying yoga with others is powerful and offers a supportive and healing environment for all.

We look forward to more amazing yoga practices together and can’t wait to gather for outdoor yoga again soon in the many wonderful park spaces, beaches, grassy fields, and forested areas!
